Your Travelers Hospital appointment, step by step
01 Choose the appointment
On medbook.jp, select a video consultation and a time in Japan Standard Time. Review the estimate before confirming. The booking form describes a zero-yen card authorization; consultation payment comes later.
02 Check your confirmation
Check the email address you enter. After booking, look for the confirmation and complete the pre-consultation form at least 30 minutes before your visit, as instructed by Travelers Hospital.
03 Prepare for Google Meet
Follow the provider’s Google Meet setup instructions and test your connection before the appointment. Keep the confirmation handy for joining details and booking management.

Something is unclear before you book?
Use the contact options on the booking page. Ask: “Can you confirm the appointment time, consultation language and what the estimate includes?”
If your call is less than 30 minutes away, ask how to complete the preparation in time. If the confirmation is missing, check spam and contact the provider before making another booking.
Before your appointment
- Your accommodation address and contact email
- A private place, working camera and stable internet
- Current medicines, allergies and questions for the doctor
- Insurance requirements and the provider’s fee estimate
Before you book
Have your accommodation address and contact email ready. If you need a language other than English, ask Travelers Hospital about interpreting and the fee.
Choosing an appointment
Select the appointment type and time, insurance category and reason for your visit. Times are in Japan Standard Time. Check the estimate and cancellation terms. The card authorization secures your booking; payment is collected after the consultation.
Joining the call
Follow the confirmation and joining instructions. The doctor will discuss your concerns and decide whether you need a prescription or a clinic visit. If medicine is prescribed, ask where and when you can collect it.
When you need a clinic

If you are travelling between cities
Tell the provider where you are staying and when you plan to leave. A video call can take place anywhere in Japan, but pharmacy opening hours and local services will affect the next steps.
Appointments at night and on holidays
Consultations are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Select an available slot on the booking form; appointment times use Japan Standard Time.
Before you book
Can I consult before moving to another city?
Travelers Hospital offers online consultations across Japan. Tell the provider your current accommodation, next destination and departure time. If medicine is prescribed, confirm where and when you can collect it before you travel.
Can I collect medicine after a late-night consultation?
Travelers Hospital offers consultations 24/7. Pharmacy hours and stock are separate: a night-time consultation does not guarantee medicine that night.
