Kyoto Station, the Kawaramachi–Gion area and Arashiyama are separate search areas. Kyoto-Kawaramachi and Gion-Shijo are on opposite sides of the Kamo River; Arashiyama has stations operated by different railways. The Kyoto tourism association lists medical resources and points visitors to language-support information. Confirm the correct facility entrance and appointment conditions before travelling.

Questions before booking

Does a 24-hour consultation mean I can collect medicine at any time?

No. A prescription depends on the doctor’s assessment. Collection depends on pharmacy opening hours and stock; confirm the pharmacy and timing with the provider.

Can I use my travel insurance or credit-card insurance?

It depends on the policy, covered treatment and claim requirements. Check with your insurer and keep your receipts and any required medical documents.

Will the doctor speak the language of this page?

This guide is translated. Travelers Hospital has English–Japanese bilingual doctors. Other language assistance must be confirmed with the provider; a translated page is not a promise of a doctor in that language.

Japan Care Guide is operated by Cocktail, an agency for Travelers Hospital. We introduce an online consultation service; we do not operate a local hospital or pharmacy.
